Canvas comments let you and your teammates discuss an agent directly on the canvas. Comments are private to your workspace β€” they never appear on shared/public links or in a deployed app.

Adding a comment

  1. Click the comment tool (πŸ’¬) in the bottom toolbar (next to the select/hand controls) to enter comment mode β€” the cursor becomes a crosshair.
  2. Click anywhere on the canvas to drop a pin, or click directly on an element to bind the comment to it.
  3. Type your message and press the send button (or Enter) to post.
Press Esc to leave comment mode.

Bound vs. free comments

A comment dropped on an element is bound to it: when you move the element β€” by dragging or via Auto-layout β€” the comment moves with it. A comment dropped on empty canvas is free-floating and stays where you put it. Drag a pin onto an element to bind it, or onto empty canvas to free it. Deleting an element leaves its comments in place as free-floating pins β€” they are never lost.

Threads, replies, and editing

Open a comment by clicking its pin; the thread opens beside the marker. Each pin shows a badge with the number of messages in its thread.
  • Reply in the composer to continue the thread.
  • Use the ”…” menu on any message (the original comment or a reply) to Edit or Delete it. You can only edit or delete your own messages (workspace admins can remove any).

Resolving and reopening

Resolve is thread-level β€” use the βœ“ in the thread header to resolve the whole thread. Resolving hides the pin from the canvas; the thread stays in the sidebar. Reopen a resolved thread (from the thread header or the sidebar) to bring its pin back. A resolved comment has no pin, so it can’t be opened on the canvas until it’s reopened.

The comments sidebar

Click the comment button in the top bar to open the comments panel. It searches across all comments, lists every thread with author and time, and shows an inline Reopen action on resolved threads. Click any open thread to jump the canvas to its pin.
