# Search and Ask Orisu

> Press ⌘K to find anything or start a generation, and ⌘J to ask Orisu a question from any page.

Two shortcuts work everywhere in Orisu. **⌘K** opens search, and **⌘J** opens the copilot beside the page you're on. On Windows and Linux, use Ctrl instead of ⌘.

## Search with ⌘K

Press ⌘K, or click **Search** at the top of the sidebar. Before you type, the list shows the places you visited most recently. Start typing to find:

* your agents, feeds and apps, by name
* pages such as Dashboard, Assets, Brain, Explore and Templates
* settings pages: Members, API keys, Connections, Billing and credits
* the light, dark or system theme

Move with the arrow keys and press Enter to open a result.

### Make something from the search box

Whatever you type can also become a request. Below the matches you'll find:

* **Generate an image** or **Generate a video**, which open [Create](/guides/create) with your text already in the prompt
* **Ask Orisu**, which opens the copilot and sends your text as a question

### Commands for the page you're on

Search also lists actions for the page in front of you:

| Page | Commands |
| - | - |
| Studio | Run agent, Save a version, Tidy the canvas, Add a node, Browse templates, Open the copilot, Deploy as an app |
| Assets | Upload files, Select all, Open Trash |
| A feed | Ask AI about this feed |

**Create** commands (New agent, New feed, Quick create, Upload to Assets) work from anywhere.

## Ask Orisu with ⌘J

Press ⌘J, or pick **Ask Orisu** in search, to open the copilot. It docks as a card on the right and the page moves over to make room, so you can keep working while you chat. Drag the handle between the two to change how much space each side gets. Orisu remembers the width you leave it at.

Which copilot you get depends on the page:

* **In a feed**, it's the [feed copilot](/guides/feed#copilot). It can read the feed, change columns and cells, and run things for you.
* **In the studio**, it's the [studio copilot](/guides/copilot), which builds and edits your workflow.
* **Everywhere else**, it's Ask Orisu, a general assistant for your workspace.

Ask Orisu answers questions instead of changing your work. Try it for:

* how a feature works (it searches these docs and links you to the page that explains it)
* which model fits a job, such as product videos or text-heavy images
* what Orisu knows about your brand, when **Brain** is on
* remembering a lasting preference, like "I always want 9:16"

Links in its answers open in the app, and the chat stays open next to the page you land on.

### Chat history

Your Ask Orisu conversations are saved to the workspace. Click the history button in the copilot's header to see past chats, open one to pick up where you left off, or start a new one. Each workspace keeps its own history.

<Note>
Each reply uses a little of your workspace credits, from the same pool as your runs. See [Credits](/guides/credits).
